It is more than 100 years old restaurant , Glenary’s has been around since the time of the British Raj. Though this place was not always called Glenary’s. Back in the day, it was called “Vado” after it’s Italian owner and later Pliva. But after India’s independence, Glenary’s changed hands, and eventually the name got changed too.At present it’s Run by the Edwards.In 1959 the Late A. T. Edwards, was offered the role of manager, who was working there also a local of darjeeling. Glenary’s Bakery & Cafe is well-known for it’s breakfast . During breakfast, you get items like sandwiches, burgers, rolls, pies, pizzas, pastries, cakes and many other items including fresh bread and loaves. And of course, there are the famous Darjeeling tea and coffee.
